Performance NotesThe Royal Choral Society has performed Handel’s Messiah on Good Friday afternoon at the Royal Albert Hall every year since 1876, but in 2020 and 2021 these annual Easter performances had to be cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now, with the lockdown restrictions easing, we are announcing a socially-distanced performance of Handel’s masterpiece on Trinity Sunday.

In accordance with government regulations and legal requirements every audience member had to wear a face covering, the audience was socially-distanced with people keeping to 'bubbles' of up to six people, and comprised less than 1,000 people.
