| Performance Notes | Private filming of artists in various locations around and outside the Hall. Following these two filming days (8-9 May 2021) the Hall streamed the finished 30 minute long film of what had been recorded around the building as part of the Global Stages festival, a collaboration with Sydney Opera House, SHanghai Concert Hall, Royal Theatre Carree in Amsterdam, and the LA Philharmonic.
Captured by director Raja Virdi only days before the Royal Albert Hall re-opened, the film created moves seamlessly from the roof of the venue to the basements, with other performances throughout the building.
The film was broadcast for free on the Royal Albert Hall website on Friday 21 May 2021 at 19:00 and on the Globale Stages YouTube page. |
