Performance NotesSpecial Concert in honour of the public entry of their Royal Highnesses, the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh. The Orchestra was lit by electric light and the Albert Memorial was illuminated from 19:00-20:00.

The Hall sold 3401 tickets, however a news report from The Daily Telegraph (20 March 1874) notes that 7000 people filled the auditorium.
