International ballet star Sergei Polunin will make his London debut as Romeo alongside world-renowned ballerina Alina Cojocaru in the UK premiere of this acclaimed new version of Romeo and Juliet.
Choreographer Johan Kobborgs version of the worlds greatest love story marries classical dance with a contemporary twist to create a dynamic, vibrant and modern re-telling of this ageless drama of all-consuming love, passion, ecstasy and heartbreak, all in the unique and spectacular setting of the Royal Albert Hall.
Set to Prokofievs powerful, exquisite score, and with a striking stage set design by Canadian-based sculptor David Umemoto, the story follows the narrative of Shakespeares play with the classical ballet vocabulary as its core language.
Hospitality Dining tickets were available for £325 per person including a stalls seat, champagne, dinner in Coda restaurant and programme. |
