Performance Notes"...the diva has never before sung an excerpt from the Bayreuth master's works in public. It seems a pity that the experiment should have been delayed so long, for the famous singer delighted her hearers to such an extent that not only did they demand a repetition of the piece, but subsequently exacted a further "encore" in the shape of Tosti's graceful "Serenata."
