Performance Notes | The Metropolitan Association for Befriending Young Sevants was founded in 1875 for the purpose of befriending young girls placed in domestic service from the various Metropolitan Poor Law Schools, and other friendless girls in the metropolis aged between 13-20 years old. They were visted in their situations by ladies, provided with safe lodgings while out of place, trained and taught their duties and cared for when sick.
