Performance Notes | ""GENERAL" BOOTH'S RECEPTION "General" Booth, on his return from an extensive tour in the United States and Canada, met with a welcome at the Royal Albert Hall last night which for warmth and enthusiasm surpassed anything which he has met with during his remarkable career as head of the Salvation Army. From an early hour the great building was besieged by eager masses of Salvationists, and when the proceedings commenced it was estimated that quite 6,000 people were present." Canon Barker and seven metropolitan mayors. Two second tier boxes held 20 members of the London Stock Exchange. |
