Orchestra or Band | String band of the Royal Engineers |
Royal Presence | Alake of Aoeokuta, Prince Adelours |
Performance Notes | "The decorations were very pretty. Festoons of roses were suspended between the standards carrying electric lights, while above the great electrolier which hangs from the roof were outstretched long lines of golden stars. Music was furnished by the string band of the Royal Engineers, and one feature of the programme was a set of revue lancers, representing the musical plays produced at Daly's Theatre by Mr George Edwardes, in which the partners were Mr Rutland Barrington and Miss Ivie Green, Mr Harry Ford and Miss Violet Lloyd, Mr James Blakely and Miss Carrie Moore, and Mr Fred Kaye and Miss Marie Studholme. The Alake of Aoeokuta, with Prince Adelours occupied a box on the grand tier, and the Chief was accompanied by Lady MacGregor and her daughter. Mr Edwin, Mr Elgee and others."
