Captain Scott, RN, Commander of the Discovery, gave a lecture on the National Antartic Expediton to members of the Royal Geographical Society. The Officers and crew of the Discovery were on the platform. Sir Clements Markham, President of the Royal Geographical Society, was in the chair, supported by the US Ambassador. The stage was decorated with the sledge flags used on the expedition.
