"At the Royal Albert Hall last night a large audience lent willing ears to strains resulting from a number of records taken of popular singers by the 'Pathephone', an invention which, to quote a note in the programme, 'aims at being a musical instrument in the home, and not only what is generally known as a 'talking machine'.'"
