Performance NotesThe Italian earthquake and tsunami occured on 28 December 1908 in Messina, Sicily and in Reggio, Calabria on the Southern mainland of Italy. The disaster claimed between 100,000 and 200,000 lives. Present were the Italian Ambassador, the Lord Mayor and Lady Mayoress, and Sir John Murray Scott. The Prince of Wales placed his box at the disposal of the Italian Club.
