Performance Notes"Over two hours before the arrival of Mr Balfour seige was laid to the doors of the hall. The applications for tickets had outnumbered the seats available by three to one, and it was stated that the officials of the Metropolitan Division of the National Union, the organisers of the meeting, had never before had so great a task in satidfying and denying demands for accommodation."

The Electrophone Company installed their telecommunications device in the auditorium for this event so that journalists could listen to the speeches away from the Hall in the comfort of the Electrophone Company HQ.
