Performance NotesAward-winning electric jazz harpist and composer Maria-Christina Harper is joined by vocalist and trumpeter Georgina Jackson to produce a dynamic harp-led project.

Maria-Christina’s unique playing on her harp is fused with Georgina’s characteristic voice and trumpets. Together they recorded Harper’s original songs and compositions that reinvent the sound of the harp in the jazz world.

Harper’s music builds on the beauty of melodies of the past with the raw sense and realisation of living today in the modern world. They present their show based on Harper’s original music but also the music of legendary women vocalists such as Ella Fitzgerald, Billy Holiday and Etta James
