Performance NotesGlobal superstar Ed Sheeran will round off an incredible week of concerts in aid of Teenage Cancer Trust.

Ed Sheeran’s recent seventh BRIT Award underlined his status as an era-defining artist. His 2019 Divide Tour is the most attended tour of all time, and he has sold 45 million albums and 150 million singles across the globe. Ed is also the first British Solo Artist to claim 52 weeks – an entire year – at No.1 on the Official UK Singles Chart, with only Elvis Presley and The Beatles achieving more overall weeks at the top.

Writing monster hits for many other artists, Ed remains one of the world’s most influential musicians. His latest track, the Taylor Swift collaboration ‘The Joker And The Queen’, is also riding high in the charts.

Ed played an incredible show for Teenage Cancer Trust in 2017 and has been a great supporter. This is a rare opportunity to see him in such an intimate venue.

This show is supporting Teenage Cancer Trust. Every day, seven young people aged 13-24 hear the words “you have cancer”. Cancer can throw young people’s lives into chaos, leaving them feeling isolated, scared and out of control.

Teenage Cancer Trust puts young people in the best possible place, physically, mentally and emotionally, for their cancer treatment and beyond. They do it through their expert nurses, support teams, and hospital units. And they are the only UK charity dedicated to providing this specialised nursing care and support.

Young people with cancer have never needed that support more, which is why getting back on stage at the Royal Albert Hall plays such a vital part in making sure no young person faces cancer alone.

Guests in the audience included Ricky Wilson (Jaiser Chiefs) and Leigh Francis (comedian).

Ed Sheeran was presented with the TCT Headline Award backstage by Roger Daltrey.
