Performance NotesWatch inspirational performances by outstanding young performers from the Royal College of Music whilst enjoying a hot drink and a pastry in the Hall’s Elgar Room.

Performing at this Classical Coffee Morning are 97 Ensemble, a new and lively ensemble made of musicians from the Royal College of Music, founded by cellist Niki Moosavi.

The ensemble aims to raise awareness of the statistic that 97% of women aged 18-24 experience sexual harassment in UK as found by the APPG UN Women UK report of March 2021. They fundraise for Solace Women’s Aid through their concerts and give performances at Solace Women’s Aid for their service users. The ensemble champions works by underrepresented composers and hope to make classical music more inclusive.
