Performance NotesFollowing the tremendous success of last year's sell-out Peace One Day concert, the Royal Albert Hall is once again the venue of choice to stage 2008's Peace One Day Celebration.

Featuring performances from several artists including Annie Lennox, Bryan Adams and John Legend, contributions from special guests including Jude Law, plus a gala screening of 'The Day After Peace', the acclaimed new documentary film, by director and founder of Peace One Day, Jeremy Gilley. The film, which received a rapturous reception at its premiere during the 61st Cannes Film Festival, features Kofi Annan, The Dalai Lama, Angelina Jolie, Jude Law, Annie Lennox and Jonny Lee Miller.

Peace One Day began as a film project founded by British filmmaker Jeremy Gilley in 1999 to establish the first ever annual day of global ceasefire and non-violence. In 2001 the Day was unanimously adopted by UN member states as 21 September annually - Peace Day. In 2007 over 100 million people were active on Peace Day, in 192 countries. There were life-saving initiatives in 14 countries, and over 80 activities in Afghanistan alone where 1.4 million children were vaccinated against polio.

The performance was screened in 93 countires worldwide
