| Performance Notes | Multi-instrumentalist tuba player Paul Tkachenko started his career playing in variety theatres and circus in Germany. Since moving to London 6 years ago he has become immersed in Eastern European music as well as a wide range of other styles. Paul performs with She'koyokh, Tatcho Drom and Gadjo Club as well as teaching at the yearly KlezFest in London. As part of our Close Encounters festival Paul will be creating ethereal sounds with regular instruments. He will also be performing on the musical saw and playing specially commissioned music for the event. A range of interesting effects will also be used to create an altogether outer worldly sound. |
