Performance Notes | Cameron Mackintosh presents Andrew Lloyd Webber's The Phantom Of The Opera at the Royal Albert Hall to celebrate the show's 25th West End anniversary.
This lavish, fully staged production of 'Phantom of the Opera at the Albert Hall' will starred Ramin Karimloo as 'The Phantom' and Sierra Boggess as 'Christine'. They were joined by Barry James as 'Monsieur Firmin' Gareth Snook as 'Monsieur André', Liz Robertson as 'Madame Giry' and Wynne Evans as 'Piangi' together with a cast and orchestra of over 200 together with some special guest appearances.
Considering this was the first time the show had been run in full with this cast, it was a very smooth and spectacular performance. Extremely well received with a finale featuring Andrew Lloyd Webber, original London cast and several Phantoms from over the years and standing ovation.
The event was filmed and released on DVD in 2012.
A dress rehearsal for 1,600 invited guests was held earlier in the day from 16:32-17:57. |
