Performance Notes | Gary Barlow announces his first UK solo shows in over 11 years
'Gary Barlow in Concert' will be Gary's first full solo shows since 1999 and will see him perform songs from his incredible music career spanning over 20 years. Take That have sold over 30 million albums and seven million tour tickets over the course of their career, with their recent Progress Live Tour being the biggest tour that the UK and Ireland have ever seen. Gary's contribution to British Music as a whole has been unquestionable and his reputation as a singer, songwriter, pianist and performer is undeniable.
Monies raised from the two concerts will go to The Prince's Trust and The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry. The money raised for The Prince's Trust will support the charity's UK City Riots Appeal, helping disadvantaged young people from riot-torn areas to rebuild their lives and communities. The Foundation of Prince William and Prince Harry will also use the funds raised to support disadvantaged young people, which is one of the Foundation's three core project areas. In particular, it will use the funds to support innovative projects dedicated to providing young people with the tools and aspiration to fulfill their potential.
This was the first official royal engagement of the newly married Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, accompanied by the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall.
The event was filmed by CNN, BBC, Clarence House and Talkback Thames Television. |
