Performance Notes | Following on from the hugely successful ignite series in the Café Consort, the Royal Albert Hall Education department worked with Music for Youth to give talented young musicians from around London a unique performance opportunity at the Royal Albert Hall. The free ignite series took place in the Royal Albert Hall's Café Consort and featured various performances from gypsy jazz to Parisian folk.
'The Giovani Quartet was formed in 2010 from talented young string players who all attend the Centre for Young Musicians and are also members of the London Schools Symphony Orchestra.
Since its founding in 1970, Londons Centre for Young Musicians has provided high quality music training for thousands of talented students and provides a broad and eclectic programme. 420 students attend the Saturday Centre throughout the school terms and holiday activities.
The Giovani Quartet has played for various charity events including a StareheFuture Finale reception in the presence of His Majesty King Constantine of the Hellenes and other performances include an appearance at the Clapham Festival. They are coached by Andrew McGee.' |
