In television, she won an Emmy for HBO’s Grey Gardens starring Drew Barrymore and Jessica Lange.
Recent work includes One Day, based on the best-selling novel; Bel Ami with Robert Pattinson, and a BBC Films adaptation of Kazou Ishiguro’s Never Let Me Go. Portman is celebrated for her for ear for melody and using music to develop the audiences’ understanding of story and character.
