| Performance Notes | Nogabe Randriaharimalala was born in Madagascar and began playing various instruments when he was a child. He left Madagascar in 1977 for Beijing where he became the drummer of the very first rock band in China, 'Peking All Stars'. He moved to Hong Kong in 1990 where he set up his first Band and produced 2 albums: Nogabe and Politics, Power & Glory.
His music has evolved and matured over the years and is now more traditional malagasy style like his 4th album Afatra, shows. He has played in different festivals and venues in the UK and France, including Womad; London African Music Festival and Troubador's, and wants to spread his music around the world. |
