Performance Notes | The Silver Ghosts evoke the energy and style of dance gigs of the 1920s, 30s and 40s.
Starting as duet, the founder members had been inspired by the energy and style of several swing dance club nights around town where patrons express their passion for swing jazz sometimes just through their period garb but mostly on the dance floor with classically energetic partner dances like the Lyndy Hop and Charlston.
Over subsequent months the band settled as a seven piece ensemble, gigging at prestigious venues like The 100 Club, and The Black Cotton Club and have recently recorded a session at BBC Bush House. |
