Kumi Matsuo was born in 1984 in Tokyo, Japan. In 2010, she gained an Artist Diploma from the Royal College of Music where she is continuing on the MMus programme. In 2006, she won second prize at the 75th Music Competition of Japan and performed Liszt's Concerto No.1 with Tokyo Symphony Orchestra conducted by Norichika Iimori. She has performed extensively throughout the UK and Japan since 2008, including performances at Cadogan Hall, Bristol Cathedral, Tokyo Opera City Concert Hall and the Tokyo Bunka Kaikan. |
