Performance NotesThe London 2012 Olympic Games Opening Ceremony took place that evening and the performance therefore began at 18:30 in order for the audience and performers to watch the ceremony, which started at 21:00. Daniel Barenboim also had to leave to be one of six Olympic Flag Bearers at the Olympic Stadium for that evening's Opening Ceremony. Orchestra lead by Michael Barenboim.
