Performance NotesThe cavernous Royal Albert Hall is a natural setting for Berlioz’s monumental Requiem. Although the work’s choral and instrumental requirements are massive, perhaps most revolutionary is its exploitation of the performance space as an element of composition. Thierry Fischer directs his final concert as Principal Conductor of BBC National Orchestra of Wales.
