Hailing from Ottawa, award-winning Canadian flautist Lindsay Bryden studies under Simon Channing, Daniel Pailthorpe and Jaime Martin at the Royal College of Music. Lindsay has performed throughout North America for such noted musicians as Sir James Galway, Sir Wissam Boustany, Emmanuel Pahud and Emily Beynon. While baroque music initially drew her to performance, Lindsay has a tendency toward the intense and dramatic, using her control of tone colour and a wide dynamic range to draw in her audience. Her program is a reflection of the diversity of her musical interests and brings together works of greatly contrasting natures which require high degrees of technical and musical facility. |
