| Performance Notes | Dean Chalkley is an award-winning Photographer and Filmmaker. Over the past ten years Dean has produced an enormous body of work. He has captured the essence of established and new talent alike; from The Kings of Leon and The White Stripes to The Horrors and Florence and the Machine. His vast back catalogue includes Paul Weller, Depeche Mode, Tinchy Stryder, Ian Brown, Lily Allen, Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye, Plan-B, Marilyn Manson and The Verve amongst a myriad other names. While recently he has worked with returning legends Dexy's, Bloc Party and Kasabian.
The quality of Dean's Film and Photographic work has been widely recognised and he has won several awards. In 2006 he was voted 'Portrait Photographer of the Year' at the Picture Editors Awards, the following year was included in the prestigious Getty list of 'New Photographers of 2007'. In 2012 he received an 'Outstanding Contribution to Music Photography Award from the NME Magazine'.
A private reception was held in Door 6 and short music performances in the East Arena Foyer on the 28 September 2012 from 18:30-22:00 featuring Keiren Leonard, New Street Adventure, Kitty Dasiy & Lewis. |
