Performance NotesBack in the summer of 1998, Angela Baker and a group of her friends from the Women’s Institute, decided to raise money for the local hospital in Yorkshire where her husband John was being treated for non-Hodgkins lymphoma.

Following his death just five months after diagnosis and pushed by Angela’s friend Tricia, the ladies met at a local photographer’s house one evening and posed in the nude for a calendar.

From an initial print run of just 3,000 and the aim of raising enough money to buy a sofa, they became the Calendar Girls and history was made!

Fourteen years on, with £3m raised, a record-breaking stage show and a British Comedy Award winning film, as the beneficiaries of this fundraising, Leukaemia & Lymphoma Research would like to say thank you with a ‘Seasons of Love: Celebration of the Calendar Girls’ at the Royal Albert Hall.

Patricia Hidge and Celia Imrie appeared in pre-recorded segments.

Final ever performance at the Royal Albert Hall by Peter Skellern.
