Anna Anandarajah is a second year postgraduate at the Royal College of Music, studying under the tutelage of Professor Timothy Evans Jones, and is a Fishmongers Company Scholar and a Samling Scholar. At the RCM she has won the Brooks Van der Pump English Song Competition and the Joan Chissell Schumann Song Competiton.
At the RCM Anna has sung in master classes with Susan Bullock, Roger Vignoles, Janis Kelly, Felicity Palmer and Sarah Walker. In RCM scenes she has performed the roles of Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Aminta (Il re pastore) and Rosalinda (Die Fledermaus). She also created the role of Emma Freeman in collaboration with RCM composer Chris Roe on the opera scene White Star. She was also the first soprano for the RCMs collaboration with English Touring Opera in their production of Buxtehudes Membra Jesu Nostri. |
