Performance NotesRoyal Albert Hall Education, in partnership with three of the world's leading dance examination boards; the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) the International Dance Teachers' Association (IDTA) and the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), are delighted to present Dance Proms 2012 - a celebration of dance in all its forms.

Dance schools and academies from across the UK have been invited to enter show-pieces for inclusion in the Dance Proms. A panel of judges - directors of the three dance examination boards will shortlist the pieces which will then go to public vote for inclusion in the final event. Each school will then receive mentoring from the Dance boards, the Royal Albert Hall and industry professionals to adapt, refine and prepare their dances for a final performance in the round on 4th November.

The first Dance Proms, held in November 2011 involved 450 dance students performing in the round and on the stage to an audience of 3000.
