Performance NotesFollowing Goerge the Poet's sell-out Elgar Room performance in January 2013 as part of the Inspired Word series, he will lead a masterclass workshop in performance poetry to a group of 20 GCSE students. These students may involve those who have been involved with drug, gun and knife crime, or those who are not in education. The workshop will involve performing some of his political and social poetry to the group and then facilitating the students to write their own impactful poem as well as performing it at the end.

George the Poet is an up and coming poet who grew up in North-West London and writes politically and humorous social commentary through poetry. He had direct experience of life in London's inner-city and the challenges that this can present a young person and he is currently studying Politics, Psychology and Sociolgy at Cambridge University.

The event was filmed by the Hall.
