Performance Notes | Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi returns to the Royal Albert Hall in 2022. This very special three-night residency promises to be an incredible experience. The shows follow the release of his new album Underwater, and a string of sold-out shows in March. Ludovico and his band will be playing pieces from Underwater, and across his repertoire.
Guests at the event included Joe Wicks who wrote on Instagram "That was just phenomenal @lusovico_einaudi. I've never expereicned anything like it. Music in its purest form. You literally feel every emotion possible. Sadness, joy, loneliness, love. You can visualise sunshine, rain, warmth, cold. You can see yourself walking a [sic] through a forest, crying at a funeral, laughing with your kids. Music is incredible for our mental health. It had the ability to release stress and pain and calm your mind and body. I started listening to Ludovico during lockdown if felt stress and it had such an amazing impact on me. I cried when I first heard some of the songs. How good does crying feel by the way. What a way to let go of emotion." |
