Performance Notes | Enjoy inspirational performances of music by Beethoven and more performed by outstanding young performer Isabell Karlsson from the Royal College of Music, whilst enjoying a hot drink and a pastry in the Elgar Room.
Isabell plays on a Maggini/da Salo composite violin circa 1600, kindly loaned by the family of David Angel. She will be accompanied by Maria Tarasewicz.
Isabell Karlsson Isabell Karlsson, born in 2005, began playing the violin at the age of 5. Since 2018, she has been studying with Professor Ani Schnarch at the Junior Department of the Royal College of Music. During her studies there, she has won the Freda Dinn and Ida Mabbet Prize in the Peter Morrison Concerto Competition 2021, and the May Edwards Prize in the Gordon Turner Competition 2022.
Isabell is also interested in orchestral playing and is the leader of the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain 2023, as well as of the RCMJD Symphony and Chamber Orchestras. |
