Performance NotesThis was the first time that the Artists' Guild had held their annual exhibition at the Hall, and included loans from Princess Christian (the Guilds' Patron) and other members of the royal family. The exhibition was open to all amateur artists although there was a section for 'Advanced Art' under the direction of Mrs E M Ward which was open to skilled artists. Prizes were awarded for embroidery, painting, wood carving, photography, work in leather and metal, and miscellaneous. In total there were over 400 exhibits occupying two large rooms, curated by Lieutenant-Colonel Bacon. Today these rooms, occupying the first floor of the southern side of the Hall, are used as a restaurant.
