Performance NotesLondon Youth Choirs invite you to the Royal Albert Hall for a spectacular 10th birthday showcase featuring all 10 LYC choirs and 1,000 guest singers from schools across London, raising their voices together.

Since LYC’s foundation in 2012, we’ve championed musical excellence and social change for London, creating community through choir. Every year we’re bringing together more young Londoners from every borough and background, inspiring voices and minds, nurturing togetherness and understanding, breaking down barriers to access, and pushing the boundaries of what choir can be and who it is for.

So now it’s time to RISE UP and celebrate with an all-singing playlist! Prepare to hear choir in all its colours – classical, pop, gospel, musical theatre, hip-hop – plus box-fresh music written for the occasion by London’s Amy Bryce and Brenda Rattray.

We’ll also welcome special birthday guest appearances from BRIT nominee Camilla Kerslake, LYC Honorary Patron Gareth Malone OBE and a surprise star to be revealed on the night. The show will be introduced and presented by special guest compere Aled Jones MBE.

RISE UP was a British Sign Language interpreted performance. Paul Whitaker OBE interpreted all spoken and heard elements of the show for BSL users.

London Youth Choirs is a family of 10 choirs for all young Londoners aged 7-23. Members enjoy great training, amazing performance opportunities, and lasting friendships and memories. Auditions are free, and generous financial assistance is available.
