Vivek Dinesh Ramanan is a gifted, young musician and a student at the Royal College of Music Junior Department, where he studies the classical violin with Viktoria Grigoreva. Vivek has also been playing the violin in the South Indian (Carnatic) tradition since 2015 and is set to commence his professional career this December.
Last year, Vivek was part of the National Youth Orchestra as well as one of the eight under-18s that were chosen by the London Philharmonic Orchestra to mentor. Recently he won the third prize at the prestigious Rickmansworth Young Musician Award.
Vivek is the leader of the symphony orchestra at the Chiltern Music Academy, with whom he recently performed the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto as a soloist. He is also part of the Symphony and Chamber Orchestras at the Royal College of Music. |
