Performance Notes | Classic FM is back at the Hall for a spectacular evening of the most iconic classical music performed live!
Handels stirring Zadok the Priest opens this special concert themed around classical music anthems, with many other Classic FM favourites also included. The renowned Royal Scottish National Orchestra will play classics such as Johann Strauss Jr.s By the Beautiful Blue Danube and Finlandia by Jean Sibelius. The orchestra, conducted by Ben Palmer, will also accompany several world-class soloists: opera stars Nicky Spence OBE and Rachel Duckett; and the talented pianist Hayato Sumino will perform Gershwins Rhapsody in Blue.
Classic FM presenters Alexander Armstrong and Myleene Klass will host this concert. Plus, very special guest Sir Karl Jenkins will take to the stage to conduct his own music including Benedictus from The Armed Man, Palladio and the popular anthem Adiemus as part of the Welsh maestros 80th birthday celebrations.
