| Performance Notes | The worlds most popular history podcast, The Rest Is History, is set to return with a brand new show.
Hosts Tom Holland and Dominic Sandbrook will take a deep dive into the lives and times of two of historys greatest composers: Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and Richard Wagner. Accompanied by the Philharmonia Orchestra, conducted by Oliver Zeffman. Featuring violin soloist Leia Zhu, Soprano Ingela Brimberg and Tenors Toby Spence and John Findon.
The repertoire will include excerpts from Tchaikovsky's Swan Lake, Violin Concerto, Nutcracker and 1812 Overture. As well as Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries, Siegfried, Götterdämmerung and Tristan und Isolde. |
