Performance Notes	"In view of the large audiences which attended the concerts, and the very favourable criticisms of the performance by the Press, the Committee feel justified in regarding the season of 1886-1887 as representing the greatest artistic success which has been achieved by the Society since its formation." (The Times, 6 October 1887) "...The magnificent hall was crowded from floor to ceiling - every seat having been sold four days ago - and hundreds of applicants for admission were disappointed. The beautiful choral music was splendidly sung by the R.A.H. Choral Soceity's choir - the finest to be found in Europe." (The Observer, 5 February 1888)
