Performance NotesThe event was recorded and broadcast by BBC Radio 2 on 12-16, 21-22 January 1993.

The event saw a spectacular proscenium arch and the Tsar's Imperial Box built in the Hall's auditorium to represent the interior of Moscow's Bolshoi Theatre. The large dance stage was at the time the largest in Europe. The sets were built and decorated by Valery Leventhal, Chief Designer of the Bolshoi Theatre, and his staff.
