Performance NotesFace to Face: The Moving Portrait, the solo exhibition featuring groundbreaking new work by established music photographer, Tom Oxley. Tom Oxley’s innovative portfolio of video portraits include prolific musicians of our time, with Liam Gallagher, Azealia Banks, Professor Green, Mark Ronson, Wretch 32, The Maccabees, Rizzle Kicks, and Miles Kane amongst others, being projected larger than life onto the Royal Albert Hall's gallery walls set overlooking the stunning main auditorium.

The idea behind this project is to push photography and video forward together, to slow things down in this high-speed world, to stand back and truly take notice of whom someone is. In today's world, we are used to the speed of modern cameras, and rely on capturing the subject's personality in just a split second. What is so special about the portraits is that they are not just 'photographs'; they are video portraits, where subtle movement from the subject will create a striking visual impact.

There was an open evening drinks reception in the Gallery on the 17 June, 18:30-22:00, with a special short acoustic performance by the band Citizens and also a special guest DJ.
