Performance NotesThe Royal Albert Hall and CCA Galleries honour the life and work of Sir Peter Blake with a celebratory exhibition to mark his 80th birthday.

Blake is truly a grandee of British Art. Renowned for his connection with the music industry, having created iconic album covers for The Beatles, Paul Weller, The Who and Oasis, Blake’s work reflects a fascination with all streams of popular culture and the beauty to be found in everyday objects and surroundings.

Sir Peter Blake said, " I am delighted to be hosting this exhibition at the Royal Albert Hall in celebration of my 80th birthday. Having worked on the artwork for some of the most talented musicians during my career it now seems only fitting that this milestone exhibition is being held at one of the world's greatest music venues. I hope people enjoy this print retrospective as much as I have".

Free open days on Saturday 23 June, Sunday 24 June, Saturday 30 June, Sunday 1 July 2012. In conjunction with this public exhibition we will have the Peter Blake-designed CCA Art Bus parked on site for the Open Days.

Times Culture Plus: Talk and Private View evening will be held on 19 June 2012 in the West Arena Foyer from 17.30.
