Performance Notes | Me and TCT is a captivating exhibition of amazing photographs relating to the work of Teenage Cancer Trust (TCT) presented as part of the reflect series at the Royal Albert Hall.
TCT is a charity dedicated to improving the lives of teenagers with cancer. Each day in the UK, 6 young people are diagnosed with the disease. Me and TCT will show some of the world's biggest bands treading the boards at the Royal Albert Hall as part of the annual TCT concert series, which this year takes place from 8-13 April.
The concerts were the brainchild of TCT patron and The Who front man Roger Daltrey CBE and the aim of the shows is to raise funds for desperately needed teenage cancer units. TCT Units, which are all built in NHS hospitals, are improving survival rates for teenagers with cancer.
The exhibition will show images of artists such as The Who, Noel Gallagher, Paul Weller, Coldplay, Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Kaiser Chiefs, Razorlight, Kasabian, Franz Ferdinand and the cream of British comedy including Ricky Gervais, Peter Kay and Russell Brand. It will also showcase the work of TCT through the eyes of the young patients who provided images which best represented their time on a TCT ward. The results are both inspiring and moving. |
