Performance Notes | Classical Coffee Mornings are a chance to listen to outstanding talent from the Royal College of Music at Sunday morning classical recitals in the Hall's Elgar Room. Tickets include a hot drink and a pastry.
Possessing an exceptional range of colour and sonority (Classical Guitar Magazine), Laura Snowden is a winner of numerous national and international awards. Following studies at the Yehudi Menuhin School, she went on to the Royal College of Music, winning the Guitar Prize in her first year. She is now a Postgraduate RCM Scholar, supported by a McFadzean Whyte Award, a Jacqueline Ward Award, a Countess of Munster Trust Award and a Julian Bream Trust Award.
Laura has performed as a soloist at venues including Kings Place, the Cadogan Hall, the Wigmore Hall and the Sage Gateshead. In March 2014 she won First Prize at the Ivor Mairants Guitar Award, and has recently been selected for the Tillett Trust, St Johns Smith Square and International Guitar Foundations Young Artists Programmes. Laura also leads a thriving compositional career, and performs and writes for folk ensemble Tir Eolas. |
