Performance Notes | The event was held to commemorate the women candidates who stood for parliament during the General Election of 1918. This was the first general election that certain women over 30 were allowed to vote in and was able to stand as MPS. Similarly to other dinners organised by the Women's Freedom League the menu was vegetarian. The event was dedicated 'to the women candidates of 1918 the pioneers of women representatives in Parliament, we offer our warmest thanks and most cordial congratulations for the plucky fight they put up in the interests of women'.
