Creator Name	Trevor Thomas Phillips CBE RA (1937-2022) Tom Phillips (born 25 May 1937-died 28 November 2022) is an English artist. He was born in London, where he continues to work. He is a painter, printmaker and collagist. By the times of this painting By the late 1990s Phillips was an establishment figure in most aspects of the arts. He became a trustee of the National Portrait Gallery, an Honorary Fellow of the London Institute, an Honorary Member of the Royal Society of Portrait Painters and a Trustee of the British Museum.
Administrative History	Commissioned by the Council of the Royal Albert Hall to commemorate the centenary of the BBC Sir Henry Wood Promenade Concerts, otherwise known as 'The Proms.'
Custodial History	Originally hung in Door 6 of the Royal Albert Hall.
