Description | In the centre of this section is the Parthenon, the ancient Greek temple said to have inspired the Royal Albert Hall's frieze. Surrounding the temple are princes and royal personages and consultants. To the left and right of the princes you can see artists and their patrons, or supporters. On the left, an artist displays his painted vase to patrons while to his right another shows his painting to two warriors. On the far right, a sculptor unveils an impressive carving of a lion to two more guests. |
