Performance NotesUnrelated to this event, the main road outside the Hall was closed because of the terrorist hostage situation in the nearby Iranian Embassy which had begun on Wednesday 30 April 1980. Protests and prayers were held outside the Hall by supporters of the Ayatollah Khomeini.
