Performance NotesThe Shah sat on a dias near the centre of the Hall, lit by additional electric lamps hidden amongst the surrounding flowers. The offices of the Royal Choral Society were cleared and decorated as a sitting room for the Princess of Wales and her party. Grand tier boxes were on sale for twenty guineas. A few days before the concert it became obvious that there would be a lot of empty seats, so various dignitaries were plied with free tickets and the concert was a success.
